What are single wall boxes?
Produced using a single, corrugated layer sandwiched between two sheets of liner board. Single wall boxes are the most popular choice for boxes in the UK, these boxes are tough and lightweight, proving to be a cost-effective, general purpose packaging solution.
- Manufactured using corrugated board can include standard and specialist board grades.
- Single wall cartons are often B flute.
- Kraft/test – better quality option.
- Test/test – cheaper option, less rigid.
- Multi-depth options have additional creases to allow for extra/less storage space as needed.
What are double wall boxes?
Double wall boxes are harder wearing, a more sturdy packaging solution with increased compression resistance. Ideal for protecting heavy or fragile products thanks to the extra layer of corrugated board.
- Consists of 2 corrugations, a standard C flute plus a smaller B flute.
- Multi-depth options have additional creases to allow for extra/less storage space as needed.
