February 2015 – The Essential range of coated papers is one of the UK’s leading and most recognised and trusted brands, and as a flagship range with Premier Paper it is now celebrating its 15th year, heralding its reputation as a long-standing, high-quality range of papers.
To mark the occasion, Premier Paper is presenting its top 15 Essential customers with a fabulous gift of a 15 year old bottle of Single Malt Whisky by way of a thank you for their valued custom.
As Premier’s flagship grade of coated papers, the Essential Coated range is the ‘Essential for Print’ range, which printers and end users can rely on and trust for both quality and performance.
Essential is an extensive range of wood-free coated papers that is available in three finishes, across a wide choice of sizes and weights, whilst also including both cut-star and large format sizes.
Renowned for its reliability, Essential delivers a quality on-press performance with high quality print reproduction, whilst encompassing excellent printability and fast drying times.
When it comes to a wood-free gloss coated paper and board with enhanced dimensional stability and rigidity, Essential Gloss is the one to choose. Essential Gloss is a high white, true triple blade coated paper, with exceptional strength and smoothness, together with high ink gloss and good printability. The smoothness of Essential Gloss gives precise ink transfer, making it the right choice for high quality definition print work.
Its environmental credentials are underlined by the fact the range is also FSC® certified.
Known for its unique surface characteristics, Essential Silk is a wood-free silk triple blade coated paper & board within the Essential range, which provides a unique uncalendered silk finish, together with excellent bulk.
For example printers can achieve a 5% yield benefit when using 380gsm Essential Silk against a 400gsm competitive sheet.
With an enhanced dimensional stability & rigidity, Essential Silk’s properties also include good printability and opacity, making it ideal for use when producing high definition print.
