Premier Paper Group, the UK’s largest independent paper merchant, has announced the launch of a new range of coated papers – Gold Medal made by Burgo. The new range, Gold Medal, is available to order now, comes in glossand silk options and combines exceptional quality with market leading environmental credentials. 

Gold Medal is a wood-free coated paper and board range with smooth, even surfaces for optimal printing performance. It is particularly well suited for high definition printing and creative work and complies with the rigorous FSC environmental standard. Gold Medal is available in a wide range of standard sizes and weights from 100 to 350gsm and is also available for order in bespoke sizes with only a 7 to 10 day lead time.

Commenting on the launch of the new range, Group Marketing Director David Jones said, “Gold Medal is a coated paper with leading edge technical qualities. Its superior opacity and smooth even surface give superb print results. It is made by Burgo Ardennes, an integrated paper mill based in Belgium with an impeccable environmental pedigree. CO2 emissions are kept to a minimum by using biomass and waste products, from the pulp and paper making process, to generate the energy used to manufacture Gold Medal. Gold Medal is also FSC certified”
