Premier Paper Group expands into East Anglia
The UK’s largest independent paper merchant is further expanding its operations with the opening of a new stock holding branch in Bury St. Edmunds; a move that extends its national branch network in order to give an even better local service.
The new Northern Way Industrial Estate-based office headed by Branch Manager Chris Stanyon, follows the Group’s announcement to expand its regional presence in the North East with the launch of its Washington branch office in January this year and in the South West. Premier opened a sales office in Newton Abbot in the autumn of 2011 following its acquisition of Dorset-based merchant Arc Paper and at the same time further developed it’s Southampton operation.
Premier’s East Anglia office is staffed by an experienced customer service team that includes Damon Sharp, Dave Pearson, Suzanne Stones, Jon Cooper and Duncan Southgate. A seven-strong delivery fleet will service customers across the region and the 10,000 sq ft warehouse with a capacity to hold 600 tonnes of stock will enable the branch to offer same day delivery on many lines to its customer base.
The branch will also have access to a further 20,000 tonnes of papers which are held throughout the Premier branch network, some 3,500 different product items from many of the World’s leading paper manufacturers that includes the market’s widest selection of media for digital printing – for next day delivery.
Group Marketing Director David Jones said, “The latest announcement heralds our commitment to expand our presence in strategically selected locations in order to deliver customers a local service that’s backed by the Group’s larger central operations. A local team with local knowledge, supported by our national product specialists will serve customers across the region.
“Our local stock holding policy enables us to offer reliable and flexible deliveries – many the same day. Plus, our objective to hold even greater stocks throughout the wider branch network means we are able to fulfil orders nationwide, with very tight deadlines.”
