Premier Paper Group’s Evolution is thought to be the most comprehensive range of recycled printers’ papers for digital and conventional litho printing in the UK, with an offering that includes satin, silk, gloss and uncoated; in a variety of weights and with recycled content varying from 25% to100%. A total of 250 product items. Also, within the range are a number of qualities that have been developed to give optimum performance on the various digital print processes including Indigo and dry toner.

Premier currently supplies 180,000 tonnes of paper a year to a diverse customer base including general printers, government framework, large corporates and print groups. The company has engaged a specialist sales force to communicate the benefits of the new Evolution range to over 1,000 designers, which Premier believes to an essential element in making recycled papers and Evolution even more accessible.

David Jones, Marketing Director at Premier Paper, said: “The days when designers were only interested in achieving the best possible aesthetic finish with no thought to cost are as dead as the Dodo. Luckily, also gone are the days when using recycled stock meant compromising on quality. Designers and specifiers have a great responsibility for the form, function and finish of the printed piece, and the Evolution range puts the choice of exactly the right recycled product in front of them. It also helps with that balance between choosing a paper that carries a strong environmental message in its own right and pure affordability.

For many years now, the focus on sustainable sourcing as well an understandable austerity in these straightened times – both in the public and private sector – means that the environmental credentials and price continue to factor heavily when choosing paper. Affordable sustainability was the objective when we put together the Evolution range. It has been created to give designers the options they need to make informed choices, producing printed work on a recycled paper, without compromising quality.

Evolution is all about giving designers the knowledge of the products that are available so that they can make an intelligent and informed decision about the paper they specify. Our Evolution range should truly be a natural choice.”
